Troy Block is the site of the historic Troy Laundry in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. The network of open spaces crack open the superblock with overlooks, terraces, artwork, and gathering areas – available 24/7.

The Troy Blook actively creates places for interaction and daily life in Seattle’s transformed South Lake Union neighborhood. A mid-block public passage breaks the superblock with over 31,000 square feet of public spaces that ascend the slope and create a critical ADA accessible neighborhood link – connecting adjoining streets via public plazas, terraces, and the Troy Laundry arcade. The central terrace is lit in the evenings with a catenary system creating a plane of light, and railings mark the pathways with integrated fixtures. The modulation of the building’s setback affords a street ROW full of seating, leaning walls, bicycle racks, green walls, perches, and overlooks with lush plantings. The attention to detail and the delivery of a rich, textured human experience not only meets LEED Gold standards, but also sets the stage for vibrant civic daily life and a resilient future in this urban center.
