Located in Seattle’s Denny Triangle at the edge of the city center, the companion developments of Hill7, Tilt 49, and AMLI ARC, feature a mix of uses including a hotel, office towers, and housing. Creating a gateway to the city and Capitol Hill, the projects frame the street and the generous arcades, furnishings, and plantings signal this as a place for people.
More >This suite of projects is an example of what a developer can do when committed to the neighborhood. A fine-grain detail creates a variety of experiences through special paving bands of mixed finishes and tones, seating areas with custom furnishings, and strong internal/external relationships. A covered colonnade provides protection from the weather and extends the building forms into the pedestrian realm, creating an outdoor spatial volume with generous sidewalks. A central terrace is designed to use and view from above. Streetscape planting with seasonal color border the street and Liquidambar trees glows yellow in the fall. Where topography demands, artful metal wedges create subspaces along the sidewalk with carefully crafted chairs for public use.
